Our pigs are raised from piglets born on the farm or purchased from a Central Alberta farmer at 30 pounds. They eat barley, wheat, peas, grass, and hay, with a one percent mineral supplement. They live in a large corral outdoors year round, where they hide in bales of hay for warmth in the winter.

Our pigs are harvested at eight to ten months McLean's Meat in Wetaskiwin. It is a small, local abattoire serving only the local community with the gold standard of humane animal treatment. The meat is not aged.
